GH Sports was founded in 2021 by Dave Hammond, Günther Guttzeit and Jens Rust. Each member brings a unique skill set to the company, which allows GH Sports to think as a whole brain team. We are looking forward to working with you!

Meet Our Team

Dave Hammond

CEO

Dave Hammond was born and raised in California. He became a National team player for Canada’s Inline Hockey Team in 2006 with which he played in over 20 World Championships. His years of experience coaching and playing hockey have served him well. He spent 5 years as Head of the Sport Department and Sales & Marketing for the Dome Swakopmund in Nambia, where he learned how to grow and develop sports in Africa. Today, Dave acts as the Chairman of Inline Hockey for Africa and sits on the Technical Board of World Skate Inline Hockey.

Jens Rust

Operations

Jens Rust, born and raised in Namibia is an enthusiast of sports and athletic pursuit. His passion led him to excel at inline hockey, becoming one of the most prolific goaltenders in the Namibian game. After completing his studies, Jens pursued a career in yachting where he was able to satisfy his love for social interaction and service to community. As the technical expert of the GH sports team, he is your port of call for designs and solutions for your facility, be it a backyard setup or multifunction event facility.

Günther Guttzeit

Finances

Günther Guttzeit was born and raised in Namibia. He studied accounting in Cape Town, then joined the Family Plant Hire Business in Windhoek. With the collapse in the Construction industry in 2016, the company Wineology Wholesalers was founded, importing wines from the Cape to diversify. Not long after that, an opportunity arose and GH Sports was called into life to diversify and create opportunities for Inline Hockey or sport in Namibia / Africa in general. Being in business since 1993, Günther adds a lot of experience and a big network of support to the venture.

What is Stilmat?

Stilmat is a polypropylene new generation sport surface that is removable, mobile, easy to store, and it is used instead of PVC or wooden floor. For its very good qualities, it is used mainly in schools, gyms, sport halls and other sport grounds.
